13 of at least 14 Tory MPs under investigation for election expenses named

 

The Tories won a majority of 12. 14 by-elections would likely still return a Tory majority, and it is likely that at least some of these MPs will get off with a slap on the wrist or less. However this is an intriguing development which could well eat into the Tory majority, and change the way MPs campaign in elections henceforth. Mark Pack collated a list of the MPs we currently know are under investigation from a variety of sources:

Kevin Foster (Torbay – Conservative gain from Lib Dem in 2015, where the police have called in another force as the Police and Crime Commissioner was the Tory agent in 2015)

Scott Mann (North Cornwall – Conservative gain from Lib Dem in 2015)
